You can buy electricity using the Standard Bank App or Standard Bank Online Banking. The electricity token will be sent to the number you have entered and you can use it accordingly.

  1. Log into the Standard Bank App
  2. Click “Buy” in the bottom navigation area.
  3. In the “Buy” screen, click “Electricity” in the top navigation area.
  4. On the “Purchase Details” screen, select which account you will be using to pay for the electricity. If you don’t want to use the account displayed, click it to open a list of your accounts. You can then enter the correct account.
  5. Click on the blue “Amount” field and enter the amount you wish to spend.
  6. Click the “Send Voucher To” field and enter your mobile phone number.
  7. Click on the “Meter Number” field and enter your meter number.
  8. Click ‘Review’ in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  9. The Confirmation screen will confirm your purchase. Once the transaction has completed successfully, a green “Purchase Successful” notification will appear at the bottom of the screen.
