Extra Fun Activities and Their Charges
Once you step foot inside the zoo, a world of exciting activities awaits you. Keep in mind that certain activities come with additional charges:
- Golf cart rental for 1 hour: R 100 (or R 190 for 2 hours)
- Children’s pushcarts: R 60 (daily rental) or R 80 (for a full day)
- Camping fee (Children): R 110
- Camping fee (School Groups): R 75
- Camping fee (Adults): R 165
Become a Friend of the Zoo (FOTZ)
If you’re a dedicated animal enthusiast, consider becoming a “Friend of the Zoo” (FOTZ). By doing so, you’ll enjoy reduced entrance fees of just R50 per adult and R40 per child (children must be under 18 years of age). Simply present your FOTZ membership card at the entrance. Membership costs R125 annually for an individual or R300 annually for a family consisting of two adults and three children. If your family is larger than three children, an additional R30 will be charged annually for each child.

Operating Hours: The Pretoria Zoo welcomes visitors seven days a week, all year round, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Please note that ticket sales conclude at 4:30 PM.
